LE WISHLIST POST.

i shall start repenting. whatever happened to my passion for recording down details in my life... it's already april and i have a grand total of 7 miserable posts...

anyway this post is dedicated to (some of) the items bought recently, which i've craved for quite some time as well as the details of the purchase etc.

my wishlist is non-exhaustive and this is just part one....

1. NAKED2 PALETTE BY URBAN DECAY

one of my recent purchase (march, but then again i shop online every two weeks or so) from qoo10.sg

THIS, MY FRIEND, WAS THE NUMBER ONE ITEM ON MY WISHLIST.

before the craze and rave about this product, i already wanted to get it but i was still a poor student (i still am poor but no longer a student).

i was so excited to use it i didn't even bother opening up the palette to take a photo..... aiya, this kind of thing... you anyhow type into google/youtube there's like thousands of reviews/photographs about it..

the colours are freaking pretty and wearable, you don't feel weird after applying them on lah.
according to research/the homework i did, the palettes consist of eyeshadow textures/colours ranging from shimmery (good for the inner eye corner application) to matte, from champagne to taupe. most colours are quite metallic too.

word of caution though, the matte black colour, "blackout", fallout rate is quite high... basically you get panda eyes quite often la but well if you're going for the emo rocker look then it shouldn't be a problem NO LA WTH WHO WANTS TO LOOK LIKE PANDA ok me i love pandas.

since my double fatty eyelid like very close and my natural eyeliner (sorry don't hit me) already there, recently i just like to swatch a bit on my eyelids and go. i hate how shallow my eyesockets part is WHY AM I ASIAN WHY.

the colours can last for a decent while but since i'm too poor to get their eyeshadow primer + i have oily lids, i can't comment further.

it's really a good purchase that you can consider... quality is good and the best part?

retail price: $80 (sephora)
qoo10: $~$45 inclusive of shipping and whatnot

keep your eyes out for deals like these!!!
wanted to check out the duty free price at the airport but i haven't got a chance yet... anyway that's close to a 50% discount HOW TO NOT BUY.

for like 10 colours + the quality (i cannot emphasize more), it's really value for money, unlike those 4 colour palettes that costs like $20+

in my humble opinion.

2. Milky foot 7 days program - foot mask.

before you continue reading this post, kind me would like to suggest that you stop ingesting any form of solid/liquid/gaseous particles. like seriously. stop. don't eat for a while first. take a deep breath.

-yoga guru's voice- inhale. exhale. inhale. exhale. downward facing dog. good. inhale. exhale.

wow that was irrelephant.

pardon the bad english on the packaging. of course you will know that korea have kickass beauty products, and this, chingu ya, is yet another zai shit.

perhaps it existed for some time already, but as i mentioned, after you start working you do all sort of retail therapy to fill up the emptiness in your life and you start seeing and buying random shiz.

ever since i saw this foot mask thing on gmarket/qoo10, i wanted to get it.

i even went down to etude house to check out how much their foot mask is being sold. but wah, a whooping $11/15 i can't remember but no way i'm paying so much for this.

the one i bought is not from etude house but the effects are awesome..

i think mui should know that i kept complaining about how rough the sole of my feet is and she keep telling me to apply lotion but i freaking hate the sticky feeling so i didn't and for the longest time i'd just stare at my sole, together with my leg hair (kiv) whenever i'm bored.

but this $5.90 foot mask changed it, forever.
sorry la let me be a drama queen for a while.

as stated on the packaging, (there's english instructions that are understandable), after using the sock-style (muisock!) foot mask, it will only start peeling off around day 3-4.

yup, as you can see from the photo above... the top two photographs is day 4/5, the initial stage of peeling..
initially i thought i was scammed by the mask LOL but suddenly while i was having my monthly shower (ya i bathe only 12 days a year), i felt my foot was damn airy and squishy.
voila!!!! dead skin cells!!!!!

and the very appetizing bottom two photographs is the state of my foot on day 6/7.

so every night, like my bedtime story, i'll just sit in my room, cross legged, and start peeling. the white mess you see up there is my dna.

there's this oddly satisfying feeling about peeling skin away from yourself. you feel brand new, and a way better person.

you may blame me for being sick and sharing information like this, but IT'S VERY HARD NOT TO SHARE YOU KNOW.

verdict?
my sole became smoother visibly but because i wear high heels to work everyday the balls of my feet still had this lump of hard, dried cells that cannot be removed ):

but besides that, the sock style mask actually removed the dead skin cells around my toenails too, as well as the sides.

overall it's a damn effective product. try it!

3.NUIT; by Hugo Boss.

hahaha actually this thing is not exactly on my wishlist, but it was just listed as "perfume".
but my baba damn adorable one day i got home and he just placed this perfume on my bookshelf ^^

it's a pretty mild scent, not too strong, not too weak...
ever since i started working i really cannot tank not putting on perfume.... sorry to people on public transport but i rather smell like some strong shit that to smell like your bad breath and bo.

<333 my cute baba.

3. eyeliners, sephora.

wanted to change a type/brand of eyeliner, ever since my etude house waterproof liquid eyeliner failed me... this time i tried the kohl one, one side being a pencil and the other being a sponge...

the reason i wanted to shift away from liquid eyeliner is because the bottle i bought was this brush like thing, making it damn hard to apply and my fucking oily lids resulted in clumps of eyeliner that can be removed if i rub my eye fml.

so i bought this two to try...

quite disappointing because both broke the moment i applied it -.-
after i sharpen it.... it's better now but the thing is that even though the application is quite smooth, it can be rubbed away/smudge easily... not sure about the waterproof part though but generally it disappears after a whole day of work..

don't think i'll buy again.... time to venture into other eyeliner brands

4. Ukulele!!! (first groupon purchase)

yes!!! my first groupon purchase!!

at a price of $23?

i can't tell about the quality but for a beginner i'm damn happy with it already!
thanks to my CO roots i can tune the instrument and play a little but i realize i really suck at multitasking (only for this though)

damn khee lucky girl got hers for free.

5. EPILATOR!

what's an epilator, you ask. basically it's a modernized tool that saves/shaves woman.

i want to say i don't give a fuck about body hair but i can't. i do give a fuck.
i get very self conscious about my long leg hair most of the times.
and as mentioned earlier sometimes i sit down and i'll just count and play with my leg hair...

and so one fine day, after khee's recommendation and the urge to greet my leg hair follicle cells, ailing was being jioed and we went out to hunt for epilators!

my braun savior.

there are many brands and models of epilators available out there in the market.... you better do some homework first to see which is suitable for you. or you can be like us lah, go there and ask for recommendation, the person should know.

after shopping at tangs/orchard... i suddenly suggested that we should visit mustafa... cause their electronic gadgets are mostly underpriced (LIKE HOW I BOUGHT MY BABY-GSs THERE)

irene and i bought the same epilator, only that mine costs slightly more cause of the shaver head that comes along with it..
from the price tag about, my epilator cost $109, and if you buy from best denki it should be $125
i think irene's epilator cost her.. i forgot, it's the same model, but purple... you can get it for $99 i think. but at best denki it should be $109? however there was once they were having a sale and they were letting it go at $99... it really sorts of depend on your luck.

the type of epilator we bought is the non rechargable type.
of course the rechargable would be more expensive..

the con is that you cannot bring it into the bathroom and remember to put newspaper on the floor to catch the falling hair (heng i got do homework first if not i'll have a hard time cleanig up).

no i don't even want to bother apologizing for my fat calves anymore. and i'm wearing socks because my feet was peeling and i don't want to leave my DNA everywhere.

left: after epilating, right: before epilating.
also from the photo you can see the wire attached to the epilator, from the power source.

oh yes and i haven't answered you what's an epilator.
basically it makes the sound of a chainsaw.

really, you would think "why am i doing this to myself" when you first switch on the switch and hear the buzzing sound. it sounds fucking painful..

but once you get past the stage (mainly because you paid for this shit and you cannot not use it), you will get addicted to the pain.

that sounds pretty sick.

it works like an automatic tweezer and i love how 早死早超生 it feels.
it plucks out hair from the roots, and not shave, which will cause you to have stubble (also see: not attractive)

i never tried shaving before because i'm aware that when the hair grows out it grows out thicker and dark (what doesn't kill it makes it stronger, proven.) and that my leg hair is in such a sorry state because i was learning threading when i was younger and i accidentally threaded an empty spot and i just 索性 shaved off with a razor. #worstlifedecisions

inserts one more photo of half -epilated leg.

it feels so smooth afterwards (the day after) i just sit down there and play for a few hours LOLOLOL. like baby ass skin.

but the thing is that after the first use, expect to see some red spots appearing on the skin la... dont forget to apply lotion!

it's pricey, but a worthwhile investment.

6. Laneige, water bank essence.

i sound like a know-it-all and everything, but even before the hype about this rising cosmetic brand/that winter the wind blows, i always wanted to get myself  laneige moisturizer.

and thus i got it from gmarket/qoo10 again!
i read reviews that the packaging is slightly different from what is being sold in the store, but it's definitely cheaper.

i can say anything about the effects yet since i just received it yesterday but it felt rather rich.

what i love about the package is that they had Brailles on it!! like how shk acted as someone visually impaired and the brand she's promoting has the Brailles #didyouknow

7. Running shoes/sneakers; paperplanes (korean brand)

if you know me you probably know how i love my shoes - eye catching and preferably platformed.

well i needed a new pair of running shoes... my nike like a gonna crumble.
and i really dont have that much money left (see the 6 items above + more)

i just received it yesterday, haven't took it out for a run(do i even run), but it's very comfortable and rather stylish. contemplating between this and wing shoes for travelling.
<3333

ok that's all folks i hoped i induced the shopaholic streak in you. GO SPEND SOME MONEY. BE POOR LIKE ME.
you're welcome.
