Prologue:
美胸花了近半年的時間,與訂書機做伴才賺來的錢;
連胸忍受加班沒給錢的痛苦幫人家收口水;
The blog postS that is to come will be overloaded with
minute details and some inside jokes, that is to say that it’ll be extremely
lengthy. I would say that lianbra already did a good job with her blog post (精華版), but since it’s on a protected qq space, I can’t refer to you to it (and it is
fully in Chinese).
Code names that
will bring you through this post:
Muisock ->
Mui/ 美胸
Yueyao -> Yaobra/ 瑶胸
Lianying -> Lianbra/ 連胸

Me and mui = 康是美 (Cosmed)LOLOLOL
Lianbra and yaobra = hyungs

And also, to my bras, since
this is my blog, don’t expect to see many many photos of yourself… #biased.

Chapter 1
Still in shock over
how much money I spent today... To be honest even though the hotel money for
three days was paid today, but it's still like a stab in your heart and you
bleed money.
The story starts when I woke up at 3.45am in the morning.
The story starts when I woke up at 3.45am in the morning.
-screw morning
flights-
Went to pick up Yao bra and my dad flew us to
terminal 1. Met the other two, lian bra and mui bra who shared a cab.
So punctual for once
^^
Went to the counter and thanks to online check-in, so much time was saved.
Went to wang cafe for breakfast at 5:30am. Epic moment when Lian bra stepped into the shop and Mui bra was like THE MACARONI DAMN SUCK.
But we ate kaya toast and all. Daijoubu.
We had many high
moments while eating.
Looking back, also don’t know how we managed to high from first day first hour to the last day.

Lepak at the waiting area
The plane ride was
around 4 hours, and we boarded the plane after shopping around the duty free shops.
Before boarding (mui's photo wah the quality..... SORRY)
Maybe because it was
a morning flight everyone was damn chill, and no one was really rushing.
The cons of a budget airline like Jetstar are that the personal bubble you have to yourself does not exist and that if you’re slightly round, you’re so going to have a hard time (been there done that).
Was damn irritated
by guy A in front, who kept laying his chair down, and that uncle with the 38
mole (三八痣) with 5
strands of white long mole hair who stared at me when Mui suggested that we
should scream when the plane flies. I berry scared the uncle will anyhow us
siol.
Why did I hate guy A? I so fat I twisted my back when I bend down to tie my shoelaces FML. Ok maybe it wasn’t really his business BUT YOU KNOW I AM SLIGHTLY CONSIDERATE SO I’M DAMN RELUCTANT TO INCLINE MY SEAT.

flight take off!

However, the flight
was rather entertaining, as we were entertained by the guy beside us and Lian
Yao bra. His imitation of the crew over the PA was epic.
Didn't sleep long on the plane though. Too uncomfortable.

on the plane, taking two seats at each row
/ three seater -> row21
When we finally
touched down at 1145, we rushed to the toilet. And felt damn insecure cause
many were wearing masks. In case future me forgets, we went to Taiwan a few
days after their first case of H7N9 was reported. #bewaryofbirdshit
After we are done claiming our baggage and rejecting/swimming through a sea of scamming taxi uncles who kept wanting to drive us to town, we made our way to the 3G/sim cards area.

Only to find out
that Homo sapiens under the age of 20 are not allowed to purchase the phone
cards -.- SIMISAI?
Heng we got one of qualified age. All hail lianbra.
Went down to buy tickets to take the bus, (國光客運) number 1819, to 台北火車站.

at the bus stop waiting for the bus
what the terminal looks like and yaobra trying to contact her
friend, 圓大師
the view on the way to our destination
Then we took 小黃to the
So fungry we went
around to hunt for food. Finally settled at a shop with acceptable tasting food
just that the person didn't take my order and messed it up.
well 2:45 isn’t a really popular time for lunch
Introducing to you, the big brother of
this journey, and you may now pay your respects.
First meals overseas
will always be the bane of my existence. But the food is good though, no
complains.
Went to the 捷運站 near
our hotel, 東門站。
The other 3 went to
buy their悠遊卡,for a
card fee of NT100. Think of 悠遊卡 as the Taiwan version of our EZ-link card, just as
convenient.
Hallelujah for my colleague who gave me his悠遊卡, which comes with a stored value of NT50
(and cute design!)
Familiar view of our station
Our destination is 劍潭站
And who can forget our little joke about博愛座?(倒裝句)
Yaobra, your ignorance embarrasses me –shakes head-
Yaobra, your ignorance embarrasses me –shakes head-
Then, we took a cab to 故宮博物館, where photographs are not allowed to be taken inside the
exhibition, like, damn strict.
Oh, and the streets looked appealing.
Therefore, we took
photographs outside. As in, spam.
Muibra also
bought one from Daiso (=$2)prior to the
trip.
But use it at your
own discretion, make sure that there’s no one you cannot outrun near the area
you place your camera. And the place you are travelling at is also a
considering factor (see: PRC).
self timed shots -selection. you wouldn't want to see 10 (unless yaobra wants to make a GIF -hint hint-)
yaobra is obviously a better photographer. (top two) MUI QUITE SHUAI THERE.
feeling like a model LOLOL. photo (bottom) received lots of love IDKW people only "like" my default sian face! anyway thank you yaobra for the photos~ (top right) is yaobra's attempt at
Didn't learn much in 故宮 but got to marvel at works.
Mostly because we were chionging through the exhibitions, like the old shanghai days, cause it was supposedly to be closing. And we just go like “wah wah wah omg so zai!” at almost every handicraft worthy of our praises.
That aside, we still managed to fulfill an important aspect of a trip – learning about the place’s history.
and we started putting our masks on, courteosy of lianbra and her mother, mademoiselle MFJ, as the museum is rather crowded with DLKs.
sun is beginning to set and we need to rush to taipei 101!
Then we took a cab, with a very friendly driver and we chatted all the way to Taipei 101!! And somewhat also because the private taxi uncles looked very thug. Those uncles thought we were japanese and started speaking in chinese/hokkien AND THOUGHT WE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND -.-

But they abit beng. Like
those you see in taiwan dramas.
Taken from inside the cab
Don’t know if it’s originally like this in taiwan but when we entered the
place there’s this hand sanitizer and red carpet.
WE WERE DAMN EXCITED TO SEE
FREE HAND SANITIZER.
Come to think of it, as long as there’s free hand
sanitizer dispensing machine, me and mui will go and use…
Anyway, queued for super
long to go up to 101. But heng, we ran like mad inside the mall when we saw a
huge group of tour group approaching LOL. #perksofbeingyoung. Waiting time was around
half an hour.
tickets up to observatory tower.
Photos taken for souvenir sake.
However, as we’re on low budget + the fact that we’re cheapo, we just take photos of the TV (it was spamming the batch of photos) and that’s it :P
Still think the
night view @ 101 is more worth looking at than the morning, especially when the
pollution is getting rather bad.

Basically they have this service center where they issue out sterilized (hopefully so) phone-like devices, and by
dialing the number at the respective stations, the device will introduce the
view you’re seeing.
going for the dreamy effect
Loads of my zilian photos (actually also not a lot can)
top: posing with the gadget and pretending i'm engaged in an important phonecall
left: HELLO? YOU UPSTAIRS AH? HOW TO GO UP FIND YOU?
right: you can find mailboxes at hot tourists attractions in taiwan, and you can send out postcards via these mail boxes.
And there’s this circle area in the
middle of nowhere and until I still don’t know what’s the use of it.
Also, we went out to the outdoor
floor and enjoy the chilling breeze. Ok more of like being an M. (winks)
view from the outdoors; only open depending on weather
conditions
Went down to b1 of 101 to
sweep the masks I wanted to buy! YAY!
Brand name: L’herboflore
As of now, there’s only two outlets in Taiwan you can get their products
from.
This shop
specializes in masks for most parts of the body, including face, eyes, foot,
not sure if there’s hands, as well as boobs.
Read reviews online
praising the masks, and saw recommendations on女人我最大.
Tried out the
facial masks (while typing the post) and I love how generous they are with the
contents + how fitting and comfortable the masks feel. Sadly I don’t live in
Taiwan if not it’ll be my long time mask supplier…
And the masks comes at an affordable price of NT$50 (lower ends ones)!
Cause I'm like the
golden customer, the 大姐結 very
nice to me ^^ even gave me her number and name, and say if need help can call
her! and quite cute she thought we were japanese initially and struggled with the language LOL
And don’t need to kelian me, because I planned to go to that place to spend th
at amount of money already. AND THEY HAVE DISCOUNT!!!
another 大姐結 who photobombed me and i just invite her to take a photo together ^^
after endless rounds of cannot-find-the-way-out in 101, we finally made it to
Had our fair share
of shiawase/haengbokness (幸福), eating all the food and SHIZ.
Bought some drinks
to quench our thirst but nothing particularly worth mentioning so I’ll just省略。
My observation of the golden rule in nightmarkets is
that if there is a queue, go for it, which brings us to the first food stall we
tried.
Many people were
queuing and the 冰糖葫蘆stall next to this 鹽水雞seller is damn pissed off because there
are too many people queuing and it’s blocking her business. Looks quite sad
actually…
While the hyungs were having delicious 地瓜球 which we didn’t try at first, me and mui shared a packet of
super yucky番薯。
(Left)
Before moving on to introduce the地瓜球, I just want to state that we bought some plums and such
(right), and I totally forgot about its existence -.-
And also, bought
yucky fruits. DAMN BITTER HOW TO EAT? #yuckyuck
Our food trip came
to an abrupt end as it was threatening to rain while we waited for more 地瓜球.
Could have spent
more money. Wait no. I'm trying to maintain. Yup. (Never)
Buys of the day corner:
my l'herboflore masks! happy happy :D
